After a sweet and sour weekend, the SMU men's soccer team is ready to host another tournament this Friday and Saturday. The SMU Classic will take place on Westcott field and includes four teams: SMU, Houston Baptist University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Missouri State.

The Mustangs will play the second game of the classic against UAB at 7:30 p.m. SMU is 3-2-1 against the University of Alabama at Birmingham, but has not been beaten in the past three match-ups.

On Sunday, SMU will take to the turf again against Missouri State at 1:30 p.m. The Mustangs have won 11 out of the 13 times they have played against the Missouri Bears. Eight of the SMU victories were also shut-outs. Goalie Craig Hill has two shut-outs under his belt this season.

The SMU Classic kicks off the C-USA play for the 2009-2010 season. The classic, originally titled the Letterman's Classic, began in 1987. Since 1994, the Mustangs have won 28 out of 34 games.
