In spite of posting some of its top times of the season, the SMU rowing team was unable to overtake the University of Texas Longhorns. The race was held on Lady Bird Lake in nearly perfect conditions. The closest race of the regatta was the first varsity four. Led by coxswain Emily Van Volkinburg, the Lady Mustangs came within eight seconds of UT by posting a time of 8:04.
