As spring semester draws near, many SMU students are aimed at finding the perfect spring internship. Whether it is for course credit or to build your résumé, internships are a great way to gain experience and insight into possible career fields.

Living in Dallas opens up all SMU students to a plethora of opportunities for internships, but with all these opportunities can come some struggle. Below are just a few of the stages faced when entering a new internship told by everybody’s favorite business professionals.

Driving to your first day ready to take on the new job.

Once you’re there, your new boss starts to introduce you to all the other employees, and you quickly realize memorizing all these names might be the most difficult part.

Then you get given your first assignment, and you feel very professional.
