Iration comes to The Loft in Dallas

Reggae group Iration comes to Dallas for the third stop on their Lei’d Back Tour Fall 2011 on Thursday. Joining them on the road are bands Tomorrows Bad Seeds and Through The Roots.

This tour has an intensive schedule playing 37 shows in 44 days.

“The hardest part about being away from home for this long is being away from loved ones, girlfriends, families and friends,” said Adam Taylor, the band’s bassist. “Six weeks is a long time and it can get very stressful.”

Taylor also said that there is nothing like being on the road and performing for so many people. The opportunity to experience new things and meet new people is unlike anything else.

The members of Iration, all originally from Hawaii, now live in Santa Barbara, Calif.

They travel across country in a big white van they named the ‘Bashful Yeti.’

While on the road, the band will continue with the writing phase of their new album. They have released two songs for the tour. One can be download during the show, the other can be accessed on their website.

Taylor explained that Kai Rediske and Michah Pueschel take the reigns to write the songs acoustically. Then, they bring the songs to the band and they all create the sound of the songs together.

Check out Iration and the Lei’d Back Tour Fall 2011 at The Loft located at 1135 South Lamar St. Tickets are $15 at the door.

“We are really excited to be back in Dallas. The crowds are always very exciting and welcoming,” said Taylor. “We spent a lot of time making the set really memorable and the show very energetic. We can’t wait.”
