Dine Around Uptown with DishCrawl

If you’re in the mood to sample new restaurants, meet new people, or just take a break from the confines of the kitchen, DishCrawl, a dine-around-town progressive dinner, might be the right fit for you.
The concept started in San Jose in 2010 and has since expanded into 125 U.S. and Canadian cities, including Dallas as of late January.
Self-proclaimed foodies or Dallasites looking to break the monotony of mealtime can sign-up online for the $45 experience (drinks not included).
The evening commences with appetizers and progresses to a main course and finally to desserts as DishCrawlers walk their way (usually just a few blocks) through the city. The four restaurants are chosen to represent the city or neighborhood of the event, but don’t expect to know what and where you will be eating until you get there!
The element of surprise makes DishCrawl all the more palatable. Mum’s the word on the four locations, though the Twitter account periodically posts clues to keep guests guessing.
Tuesday’s “Up and Down Uptown” tour is the first DishCrawl to focus on a Uptown culinary experience, and if the line-up is anything like the previous DishCrawls, it is sure to not disappoint.
Past Crawls have taken place in Downtown, the Arts District, and in the West Village, but as the website assures, “Uptown Dallas is the epicenter of the city’s restaurant explosion.”
