Some SMU students react negatively to results

With Ohio being announced as Obama, Barley House has become a somber atmosphere with talk of socialism and disappointment. Socialism is in fact one of the most heard words in Barley tonight after the news that Obama has been reelected has surfaced. Many here are huge Republican supporters and are worried for the next four years.
“I’m really at a loss for words. I was hoping my country would pull through for Team Romney, but I have been mistaken,” SMU junior Michelle Navarre said.
It has become rowdier at Barley as students have already doubled since the election has been called and as the night progresses, I would expect a packed bar and many people wondering what is next.
Most people here are college students and with jobs at a premium already, many are wondering how are they going to find jobs once they graduate in the near future.
“I feel like the middle class America, whose jobs are in the service industry, are the ones who are going to pay the price,” SMU junior and Political Science major Harrison Redoglia said.
The crowd is building in an obvious attempt to come together and react to the news of President Obama being reelected.
