It’s that time of the year to break out your most original costume and gear up for a spooky Halloween. Although we all know that trick-or-treaters enjoy the plethora of candy they receive, why not switch things up a bit this year and give them a house to remember? These mini ghost chocolate cakes are sure to please and will most certainly establish your house as the trick-or-treaters’ favorite! The recipe is quick, simple and wickedly creative.
Ingredients
½ (12-oz.) container of ready-to-spread white frosting
1 (11-oz.) package of cream-filled chocolate squares
1 (0.68-oz) tube of black decorating gel
Preparation
1. Microwave frosting in a microwave-safe bowl at high for 30 seconds to 1 minute or until melted; stir until smooth. Let stand for 2 minutes.
2. Place 1 cup of melted frosting in a gallon-size zip-top plastic bag (do not seal). Snip 1 corner of the bag to make a small hole. Pipe frosting onto each cake square in the shape of a ghost, adding remaining frosting to the bag as needed. Pipe 2 dots on each cake using black gel to form eyes.
