Starting Jan. 10, 2014 and ending May 2, 2014, students will experience completely different countries from Japan to Singapore to India to Morocco and more. Junior Jenna Peck plans to go on Semester at Sea’s spring 2014 voyage. “I’ve had five family members do the program, so I was practically raised on the life that Semester at Sea is life changing and the best thing I’ll ever do in college. By Jan Anderson / jnanderson@smu.edu There are some things I can't understand. Things like people who leave lights on in empty rooms. Do they think the furniture is afraid of the dark or what? And people who close the washing machine door after they put their clothes in the dryer, even though their is a big sign that says to leave the doors open to prevent moisture build up. Seriously do people not understand where mold and mildew come from? And speaking of laundry, doesn't anyone else think to remove their own lint from the lint filter after their clothes are dry? Or did they all just give it up for Lent one year? There is one thing I can understand. I can understand why these three men may have acted the way they are accused of acting after suspecting that their friend ...Multicultural Blog: Kappa Week

They range from informing college students the proper ways to avoid college debt and credit card debt, having a mind-boggling movie night, supporting fellow organizations in the greek community, and of course, having fun in a social setting. As it is clear that they have plenty of fun during Kappa Week, they made sure to begin Kappa Week with a trip to Union Cathedral, a small Church in Dallas where the pastor is also a member of the Nu Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. at...Gaming Guru: The Ouya Gaming Console Is Coming Soon: Will You Buy It?

By Willow Blythe / wblythe@smu.edu / @WillowBlythe The highly anticipated Ouya console is set for release in June, but will its low-cost price point and distinct features be enough? Many gamers are unsure. Ouya, an Android-powered gaming console, is a freshly launched platform that is taking a new and innovative approach from modern gaming. For starters, the Ouya is available to any kind of developer— experienced or new—looking to publish a game. Developers also hold the power of pricing their games with one small catch; a free portion or demo must be available to gamers. Originally started as a funding project on Kickstarter, Ouya quickly reached its goal within 8 hours on August 9, 2012. Currently in the U.S., the price for this console will be available for $99.99. ...SMU Kickback!

By Akil Simpson / aisimpson@smu.edu As we all know, finals are here and it can be very stressful. We all pull our hair out, stay up all night and cram for exams.
