Police Blotter: April 12-April 15

SMU PD has been busy investigating crimes ranging from the burglary of a vehicle to tampering with a fire alarm so far this April.
Here is a breakdown of the number of crimes reported by category according to the Daily Police Report Log:
There seems to be a common theme among crimes reported in the past week- damage to cars.
• On April 12 at 1:20 a.m. a witness reported an unattended vehicle was struck and the person failed to leave contact information. Open.
• Later on April 12 at 6:36 p.m. at the Panhellenic House 1, a student reported intentional damaged to her vehicle and a non affiliated person was issued a criminal trespass warning. Closed.
• Seventeen minutes later a student reported burglary of her vehicle from the Commuter Lot at 3000 University Blvd. Open.
• On April 13 at 11:48 a.m. criminal mischief took place in the commuter lot at 3100 University. A student reported some unknown person slashed and damaged two tires to his vehicle. Open.
