Out and About in Dallas with T.R.E.A.T

SMU TREAT Productions has a triple-header this weekend for their Doing Dallas Right series – a project that aims to show students at SMU what Dallas has to offer beyond the university experience. On Thursday, head over to the Varsity in Hughes-Trigg for a good old-fashioned free show. After, go catch the midnight screening of Iron Man 3. Check out the event page on Facebook. The special press event will be held in Washington at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. Fans will have the opportunity to tune into the long awaited event, which will be globally streaming on Xbox Live, Xbox.com, and Spike TV. As many gamers have agreed, it’s about time. By Brooke Reagan / breagan@smu.edu The heart of the Middle East is no doubt different from “the Boulevard.” In recent years, SMU-in-Cairo has fallen in popularity among SMU students. “It's a really great program but I believe the ongoing political unrest in Egypt is a big reason why students aren't participating,” Supathi Pandurangan, SMU abroad advisor, says. The program has been on hiatus since fall 2010, but SMU Abroad encourages students to include SMU-in-Cairo in their list of options for spring 2014. “Cairo is the largest city in Africa with a population of approximately 17 million.
