Abstract:
Deceptive tactics seem to be a recurring theme at the Discovery Institute. Its staging of the "Darwin vs. Design" religious event as science comes to mind. Suggesting that a "find-and-replace" name-changing scheme run on the text, OF PANDAS AND PEOPLE, re-qualifies an old, rejected Creationism textbook as a radically new and different Intelligent Design textbook, simply because a new alias has been used comes to mind....

Dr. Wise responded to Ms. Smith in the way that a scientist should respond to a propagandist who is peddling pseudo-science. Ms. Smith and other proponents of intelligent design have NEVER presented ID in the form of a scientific hypothesis, so there is nothing to debate. The IDists are peddling anti-scientific trash and they know it.
IDists claim that ID is a scientific theory (a verified scientific hypothesis) even though the proponents of ID have never presented ID in the form of a scientific hypothesis. Their claim that ID is a scientific theory is an outright lie and they know it, but they repeat that lie over and over and over. Scientists get tired of being slammed with that lie and then they rightly question the integrity of the people who are propagating that lie.
ID is a fraud. The best way to expose that fraud is to challenge the proponents of ID to present ID in the form of a scientific hypothesis. So put up or shut up Ms. Smith, and Mr. Luskin. State ID in the form of a scientific hypothesis or stop yammering at scientists, who have better things to do than listen to your tripe.
