This is great! Thanks for your bold, well-articulated statement... it's a relief from the usual anti-abstinence rhetoric. I was abstinent until I got married, and have never once regretted my decision. That's not something a lot of my friends can say about their sexual choices. Thanks for the encouragement to all the young people out there who are making this choice despite the onslaught of pressure to choose the other way!

By saying "Modest is the Hottest", you are still making choices based on your sex appeal in saying that you are more attractive because you are abstinent. Also, you still fit into ideal virgin roles (i.e. look sexy but don't have sex) that men have historically used to control young women's sexuality. You can stick by your choice without having to imply that everyone else need make the same very personal decision.
The problem is that many of the teens taking these pledges end up breaking them and are more inclined towards unwanted pregnancies and contracting STDs due to the misinformation they receive through abstinence only education. When they do decided to have sex, many won't use condoms because they've been taught lies about their success rates. In other words, they are often at a higher risk that kids who receive comprehensive sex education. Check your facts.
