Reality television increases in popularity as the years go by. Most of these shows are created for the ratings: the more people who watch, the better. So, how do you get more and more people to watch this genre of television? Drama! This long-lasting key to a successful show works, but is getting out of hand....

About your last paragraph, I kept up with newlyweds Nick and Jessica and personally, I think the only thing that came out of that show was the Jessica got a boost in her entertainment career and Nick just got more publicity after 98 Degrees. Shows where there are people competing for something is more interesting to watch... just like Project Runway. If you do enjoy watching Project Runway, you would enjoy watching "Shear Genius" which is just like Project Runway that airs on Bravo every Wednesday at 10pm but with hair. I've watched bits and parts of it and it's interesting. I recommend this to all those to enjoy watching Project Runway.
