The Way I See It: What would happen if Greek life ceased to exist?

Abstract:
Let me start off by saying, I'm not affiliated with SMU's Greek system. Let me follow my previous statement up by saying, I love Greek life here at SMU.

It's no secret that recently SMU Greeks (specifically IFC) have had a lot of negative attention on them....

It's no secret that the only group opposed to Greek Life at SMU is SMU itself. Sitting in meetings with Dr. White and her staff one quickly realizes their incompetence for influencing Greek Life in a POSITIVE way. At the moment their only function is to react in a negative fashion or to continually dole out double-secret probation. Until they can formulate a way to ally with IFC, etc. they will never be OPENLY respected or held in a positive light by the Greek community. Until SMU realizes that what might work at Vandy or Ole Miss or Harvard just might not work here and starts treating SMU like the unique University that it is the administrative approach will never properly function.
