Seriously? THIS is the Senate report for the week? An ad for Pike's Phillies and 40s party? This makes me ill. Philanthropy or not, I can't believe the Daily Campus finds this newsworthy.

On the other hand, it may be indicative of how little there really is going on in the Senate... Given literally weeks of meetings, interviews and countless pleas from Asian Council, the Senate can't yet make up their minds on a simple confirmation to fill a seat that has been vacant all semester. Absolutely ludicrous. Get it together Senators, Chairs and SBOs. You all look like a total joke.

I agree with the anonymous poster. This year's senate has produced less than 6 pieces of legislation - that's a record for ineptitude. But what can you expect with the leadership installed by the obviously well-informed student body last February?
When I was around, we used to talk about bobbleheads - ineffective senators that simply bobbled for whoever was in charge. Well, it looks like that good, well meaning people like John Jose, Reed Hanson, Zinkand, Pitts, and others have been drowned out by a gaggle of bobbleheads, present for little else than to insulate the Greek system from needed reforms and resume padding.
By the way, how in the world did the Senate get by with not even debating on rejecting the Asian American candidate's recommendation? So much for looking like a transparent body. Whatever good senators are left should vote with their feet and walk out. This year's senate looks like a disaster. I hope that a majority of the Senate does the student body a favor and does not seek re-election or higher office.
