The Bush library is definitely NOT something to make the school or state proud by any stretch of imagination. Name recognition in this case would serve only negatively, and having a "Library" or "Think Tank" in the name of this president is somewhat of the definition of oxymoron. People, you have got to think about this, and realize he is absolutely the last thing you want associated with your institution of learning. Picture the famous reading of "My Pet Goat" and the dumbfounded look in his eye that has been there since birth.
Name recognition for NOT allowing the "library" is more positive for your institution and cause than actually allowing it. Don't be stupid.

How would it be beneficial for SMU to have a library full of books, articles, and papers giving only a one sided view of all things concerning Bush. Considering Bush's actions (executive order) it is clear that he intends to withhold information of his choosing instead of educating the public about the various issues surrounding his presidency.

I would like to make clear that SMU will not necessarily "have a library full of books...concerning Bush" if the library comes here. This library/archives will be run by the federal government--the National Archives and Records Administration--not by SMU. This is because these are government papers. And, yes, you are probably right about much of this information possibly being withheld because of his executive order.

This is crazy I work at the rec center and have not heard anything about this situation. I know of about 4 employees that have had items stolen from the rec center gym during intramural basketball games this year. Three wallets, TCU IDs, and even I-pods and phones have been taken.
