B-Pax I absolutely adore you and your bravery. It is important to discuss how homophobia really stems from a hate of women, which you have done by tackling the aversion to "effeminate" men. Men, as you have right put, who are just being their own unique particular version of a man. As a strong, loud woman with many characteristics that are usually referred to as "masculine", (ie short hair, non made up face, wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt every goddamn day of my life) I am often asked by strangers if I am a lesbian. Which proves the point that homophobia and heterosexism don't just harm the GLBTQ community, but everyone. (Just like sexism hurts both men and women.)

And for all you nay-sayers: They aren't EXTRA rights, they're EQUAL rights.
