It was clear right from the start that SMU and Bush Library do not go together. The opportunity cost of giving up so much for this is not befitting of a premier university such as ours. If we wanted prestige we could have set up a research center that could have played the role of a national/international showpiece in Public Policy Analysis and research. If we wanted recognition, we could have set up a museum-library or archive that would have showcased the glory and pride of the leadership of our three Presidents, whose libraries would reside in Texas, but to become the home of a Presidential library for a non publicly affiliated, prestigious academic institution should not have been in the interest of any of us.

Where may I sign a petition against the Bush library being on the property of SMU? Thanks you in advacne for this information.

I hope the Delegates that meet in July 2008, will vote down the George W Bush Library and Think Tank. The War crimes committed by Bush and his top associates in Washington, is not worthy of any honor at all, especially in a Church based University. Please vote down this perversion of justice and morals done by this corrupt Administration. Please forward this message to the Delegates, in that I do not have their phone numbers.
