It is great to see that SMU is getting into Second Life. I have been a member of the SMU Cox School Associate Board for many years and believe that Second Life is a great tool for the MBA study teams to use in the communications needed to complete their team projects, especially for those in the professional and executive MBA programs.

I have been using SL for over a year as a business communications tool in our consulting practice and find that it is a great communications platform for business teams where the team members are geographically dispersed. We have established a virtual office in Second Life where we help our client teams develop dynamic teamwork processes in the delivery of their real life team and organizational results.

We welcome the opportunity to meet new, business oriented avatars and share our experiences with them. Please stop by our Teamwork Dynamics offices and Leadership Development Center on the Association Works Island.

The Association Works Island is owned by John Paul, a Dallas based consultant who works with the boards and leadership teams of not-for-profit organizations. He is developing his Second Life islands (he has two) as sites for his not-for-profit clients to use as information centers and team meeting virtual offices.
