You said, "Deeper and deeper cupped patches evolved, because as they did so, they became more and more useful." That all of those things you mentioned in your article are present does not logically lead to a notion of evolution anymore than it does to a notion that a god made them all exactly the way they are. The truth is there is great diversity in the complexity of life.
