Student Senate trashes Environment Committee

The Student Senate voted to dissolve the Environment Committee on Tuesday evening after hours of deliberations. Senate plans to replace it with a Student Concerns Committee, which will handle both environmental and diversity issues. The move comes days after former Environment Chair Joseph Grinnell's efforts won SMU an environmental award. (0) comments

Political science professor Joe Kobylka will be featured in PBS's new four-part series, "The Supreme Court," which premiers tonight at 8 p.m. Kobylka is one of three experts who appears throughout the series, helping to illuminate the history of the Supreme Court. (0) comments

Smash-and-grab near campus

The latest in a string of smash-and-grab robberies around Dallas occurred only blocks away from SMU early Tuesday morning. Theives drove an unknown vehicle through the front of the Cork and Bottle liquor store and stole the ATM inside. The store is at the southwest corner of Mockingbird Lane and Greenville Avenue.
