Good news - the Student Senate finally did something yesterday. Bad news - they got rid of one of the only parts of Senate that makes a positive contribution to this campus. Ed Board has seen Senate do anything all year long, and when it finally does, it squashes the one part of Senate that was accomplishing anything at all. (3) comments
Professor Abraham's article in our campus's paper was disturbing. He spoke the same language as the ignorant Republicans who blindly follow President Bush. While the nation has been led into a terrible war, some are being led to believe the Bush Institute stands for academic diversity. (3) comments
Everyone on campus is now aware that many faculty members, students and alumni are concerned about certain features of the proposed Bush Presidential Library complex at SMU. Much of the discussion by the faculty has come to focus on the Bush Institute, as distinct from the library and its associated museum. (1) comment
Regarding the discussions for and against the upcoming Bush Library, Museum, and Institute, very rarely does anyone mention SMU President R. Gerald Turner's political views. Although they are none of my business, he has publicly referred to them, and I was there to witness the idiotic occasion. (0) comments
I would like to address the issue of the George W. Bush Presidential Library at SMU. Being a student at SMU, I feel I have a different perspective. Voting for President Bush in 2004, my opinion is biased. However, I feel that this is an issue that is important to the entire campus. (1) comment
