Former Mexican President Vicente Fox stopped at SMU Tuesday as part of his whirlwind tour of the United States to raise money for his presidential library and speak to various groups about his presidency. An overflowing crowd greeted Fox in the Hughes-Trigg Ballroom for the Turner Construction Student Forum, and his responses drew frequent applause. (4) comments

Student Senate approved decisions to fund travel expenses for the Mock Trial's trip to nationals Tuesday afternoon. Mock Trial won two bids inviting its A-team and B-team to compete in nationals this year. The team presented its request to Senate for $8,216. (0) comments

Students who are members of a campus organization and are looking for a week of summer fun on a budget are encouraged to apply to attend the LeaderShape Dallas and Fort Worth conference. LeaderShape is an interactive six-day conference scheduled for May 12-17 that emphasizes how to lead with integrity, and is free for SMU students. (0) comments

Today marks the midpoint of the Diversity Action Team's "One" program, designed to allow students to make a lot of positive change in one week. By collaborating with various offices and student groups, the Diversity Action Team, a committee of Residence Life and Student Housing and the Student Activities and Multicultural Student Affairs office, filled the week with meaningful programming.
