There are a lot of questions following the disaster at Arkansas State this weekend, but very few answers. For the third time this season, SMU's defense gave up at least 500 yards in a 45-28 loss to the Indians. Run offense - F There has to be a way to get the running game involved in the offense. Justin Willis' scrambling for yardage does not count as an effective running game. (Does that sound familiar?) Willis had 88 yards rushing. DeMyron Martin and James Mapps had three yards apiece. (0) comments
The SMU women's soccer team suffered its first loss and draw of the season after matchups against Arizona State and Texas Tech. The Mustangs fell to the Sun Devils Friday night in what would become SMU's first loss of the normal season. Kimber Bailey scored for the Mustangs seconds into the game off a penalty kick, but the team was unable to produce any more points. (0) comments
The volleyball team faired better than that of any other SMU sport this weekend, winning two of three matches in a tournament in New Hampshire. The Mustangs started off the tournament against Syracuse. The Orange may have had a worse record coming in at 7-4, the Mustangs entering with a 8-3 record, but Syracuse gave SMU all they could handle. (0) comments
The SMU men's soccer team lost all of its momentum from its absolute dominance in the Mi Cocina Classic this past weekend. The Mustangs finished last in the Nike/Crescent Financial Solutions Invitational Tournament after losing a heartbreaker to 2006 College Cup winners No. (0) comments
