Gerald Turner officially announced a $10.1 million gift to the School of Engineering Thursday morning. The gift, from the W.W. Thursday night, Alpha Chi Omega held its first "Accessorize with Alpha Chi" event in the Hughes-Trigg Ballroom supported by local vendors and Neiman Marcus. All proceeds will go toward the Genesis Women's Shelter. The SMU Health Center took part in advertising free depression screenings as part of National Depression Screening Day on Thursday. The day is an annual event held each October on the Thursday of Mental Illness Awareness Week. During this time, doctors and clinicians volunteer time to offer free health and educational screenings at malls, hospitals, offices and local clinics. (0) comments
