High hopes for Homecoming

There is no other way to say it: The Mustangs need a win, and this might be their last chance of the season. The Mustangs come into the game with a 1-8 record, a 0-5 conference record and in the middle of a seven-game losing streak. SMU has played some of its best games of the season in the past two weeks, but have still come up short. (0) comments

Men's soccer finishes off regular season

The SMU men's soccer team takes on the Central Arkansas Bears tonight at Westcott Field at 7:30. Along with tonight's game being the final game of the regular season, it is also the senior game. The senior game honors the Mustangs' outgoing seniors that have given to the university over their careers. (0) comments

Men's basketball starts season

The SMU men's basketball team opens up the season on Saturday night at 7:30 at Moody Coliseum. This weekend, the Mustangs are hosting the inaugural Tip-Off Classic that features SMU, Southern, Paul Quinn and Alabama State. The Mustangs have won their last 11 home-openers and have an overall record of 38-13 in home-openers at Moody Coliseum. (0) comments

Weekend action at Perkins Natatorium

Both the men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete at Perkins Natatorium tonight. The men are hostingWyoming in their third meet of the year. The Mustangs are 2-0 with wins against Centenary College and Air Force. Against Air Force, Alex Hetland and Maverick Smalley won both of their events. (0) comments

When the Mustangs take the floor on Saturday night, there will be a lot of new things to notice. The first thing will be the court, which was replaced earlier in the season. If you went to any volleyball games you've already received a preview. The new floor has a darker wood and a new paint job, although it no longer has the large Mustang in the center. (0) comments

Women's basketball starts big weekend at Moody Coliseum

The SMU women's basketball team will tip off regular season play tonight against nationally ranked No. 11 Texas A&M. The Mustangs began their season on Oct. 31 in an 84-58 exhibition game victory over the Houston Cougars. The team also defeated the All-Stars in a second exhibition game over the weekend, 59-57.
