Trouble with basketball recruit

While the SMU basketball team is in Africa, there has been some trouble with a new recruit. Jarred DuBois is a 6-foot-3-inch 170-pound point guard from Los Angeles. Men's Basketball The men's basketball team is on a road trip, but its not like one they have been on before. The Mustangs are currently touring, playing, practicing and giving camps across Africa. A trip to a foreign land for most, it is also a return home for some. (0) comments

Officials and organizations need to draw the line between what is natural athleticism compared to "scientifically-modified" athleticism. Today, it seems that every sport has become plagued with its own handful of performance-enhancing drugs, technological devices and other trade secrets to put the players on top. (1) comment

This could be the year that SMU athletics finally puts everything together. But at the same time, it could just be the beginning of another disappointment. Last season, around this time, all the talk was about the football team. It was coming off a 6-6 season when the team just missed a bowl bid, and this was its year. (0) comments
