U.S. Ambassador to China speaks at Tate Lecture

The partnership between the U.S. and the People's Republic of China is "the most important bilateral relationship in the world," according to the U.S. ambassador to China, Clark T. Randt, Jr. "China has and will continue to have a tremendous impact on our lives," he said. (0) comments

The SMU campus was a safer place in the past year as robberies dropped 70 percent in 2007 coupled with a 25 percent decrease in burglaries reported as well as an 80 percent drop in arson cases contributed to less campus crime, according to crime statistics released by the SMU police department on Monday. She's not alone, the student-run organization Democracy Matters, where she serves as vice president, and Students for a Better Society are holding a voter registration drive at the Mane Desk in the Hughes Trigg Student Center. University Park and SMU officials have agreed to begin construction on a lighted crosswalk on Airline Road near sorority row during winter break, according to Student Body Secretary Erika Briceno. The crosswalk is expected to be completed by Recruitment. Briceno said UP and SMU are meeting on Friday to discuss the upcoming construction. (1) comment
