Voices singing work by composers Palestrina, Barber, Brahms and Howells will fill Caruth Auditorium in the Owen Arts Center this Sunday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m.

Meadows Concert Choir, Meadows Chorale and Diva Dolce will be singing ensembles to open the 2014-2015 choral concert season.

The works of Palestrina, Barber, Brahms and Howells represent the theme of this year’s concert, “By the Waters.” The program will explore water imagery in a sacred and secular music like waters that heal, waters that represent a lover’s anguish or a lover’s passionate soul.

Admission is free for students, but donations in money or food items are encouraged to be made to the North Texas Food Bank at the concert or online.
