Fire Alarm, 4:50 p.m.6100 Bishop Blvd.A police officer observed flames and smoke coming from the left rear wheel well of a bus on campus. The bus driver was extinguishing the fire. University Park Fire Department responded and observed the bus and said the fire had been extinguished. The bus driver called for a tow truck. UPPD cleared with no further incident.Closed.

Fire Alarm, 8:13 p.m.Morrison Hall (6004 Bishop Blvd.)University Park Fire Department responded to an active fire alarm. The responding officer observed an audible alarm but no sign of smoke or fire. The fire panel indicated mechanical room in the basement. UPPD check the area with negative results. UPPD reset the fire panel and cleared with no further incident.Closed.

Criminal Mischief, 11:40 p.mMcGuire Bldg. (6214 Bishop Blvd.)A former student report an electrical control and a paper towel holder had been ripped off the wall in the second floor men’s restroom.Open.

November 5Fire Alarm, 7:50 a.m.Carr Collins Hall (3300 University)University Park Fire Department responded to active fire alarm caused by a smoke detector. The UPFD determined a painter sanding in a bathroom stall set off the smoke detector.Closed.

Illegal Use of Handicapped Placard, 12:53 p.m.SMU Police Dept. (3128 Dyer)A student’s vehicle was immobilized by parking enforcement office with a boot for illegally using a handicap placard.Closed.
