“We started this game last year and I think this is a good chance for international students to play basketball together,” Xin Xu, the president of International Student Organization, said. “It’s a good time for them to meet new friends.”

International students who like playing basketball had a great time playing with other students they had not met before.

“I usually come to play after class and I only have certain friends who play with me a long time,” junior finance major Tong Wu said. “I really enjoy this game because I can play with more people.”

Many players joined the game last year, and they continued playing this year for fun.

“I am really sad I am graduating. I will miss playing basketball here,” senior accounting major Yongda Xu said.

The winners of the tournament were team “Slow My Momentum” and they won three front row tickets to a Dallas Mavericks game The second place winners, team “Walking Dead,” received game tickets as well. The team in third place won SMU T-shirts and notebooks.
