Visiting cinematic artist Michael Morris will talk about the apocalypse, the idea of utopias, and how moving image is used in response to technological and ecological crisis. Morris’ presentation will include artistic videos by Morris.

“One of the things that’s really interesting is that this set of screenings has films that are hard to see in theaters,” said Noah Simblist, chair of the Division of Art.

The event is free and open to everyone. For more information check the Meadows website.

Morris’ lecture is the first lecture in the series “A to Z: Abracadabra to Zombies”. The lecture is being held in the Zhulong Gallery in order to get students more involved in the nearby arts community, said Simblist.
