Cox Management Center hosts career fair

In response to a brighter economic force, the SMU Cox School’s Career Management Center is hosting an MBA Career Fair to help employers handle their hiring needs.

The fair will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the Arthur Anderson Gallery Fincher Building at 6212 Bishop Blvd. A networking reception will follow the fair at 5 p.m. For more information, contact Wynn Hartley at (214) 768-3678.

Red and Blue game offers first look at 2002 Mustangs

The SMU community is invited to meet head football coach Phil Bennett and get a first look at the 2002 Mustang football team in action at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Red and Blue Game in Ford Stadium.

The first 2,500 fans at the game will receive a free SMU mini-football.

Following the game, Phil Bennett will address the crowd, and attendees will have the opportunity to come down onto the field for an autograph session with Mustang players and coaches.

The Mustang Club will host a barbecue at noon preceding the game in the south end of the stadium. The cost of the barbecue is $10. For reservations, call (214) 768-2582.

Hispanic Issues Forum to discuss “Latin Empowerment”

SMU will host the 20th annual Hispanic Issues Forum from 2 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the Hughes-Trigg Ballroom. The theme of the forum is “Latin Empowerment.” Presenters will discuss the political outlook on the Latino vote and current issues facing the Latino community.

Mane Event names hip-hop group 112 as headlining act

On April 26, SMU students will get the chance to hear one of hip-hop’s hottest acts.

Program Council has secured 112 as the headliner for the inaugural Mane Event, an all-campus party that is similar to last year’s Block Party. The band cost around $26,000 to book.

Mane Event is sponsored by Student Foundation and Program Council.
