As college students, we’ve got one thing on our minds-getting a job. While the search for a career may be difficult, The Hegi Career Center brought companies right to campus with the Fall 2014 Career and Internship Fair.

SMU Students lined the halls in the basement of Hughes-Trigg to get a chance to chat with employees of companies such as General Motors, Neiman Marcus and Southwest Airlines.

The fair ran from 4 to 7 p.m. and company tables filled both the Centennial Hall and Ballroom. Resumes in hand, students had a special opportunity to get to know more about over 90 companies and their employees.

SMU junior and business major Graham Hill was pleasantly surprised with the turnout for the event.

“It’s amazing how many companies you can talk to right here on the SMU campus,” said Hill. “The career fair has been a great experience and I’ve learned about so many companies today.”

The Hegi Career Center will hold another Career and Internship Fair in the spring.
