Students+plea%3A+Lift+SMUs+postseason+ban

With the statistics that SMU men’s basketball flaunts, it’s hard to imagine an NCAA Tournament without them. However, actions by certain players and coaches have led to NCAA consequences, the most drastic being the post-season ban.

Students, friends, family, alumni, and biggest fans of SMU’s basketball team created a plea to the NCAA to lift the post-season ban. They mention their favorite players, favorite moments, and arguments as to why SMU deserves to play in the March Madness tournament.

Many outside of SMU circles have called for the lift on the ban, as well: Fox Sports writer Aaron Torres, Sports on Earth writer David Ubben, and ESPN senior writer Dana O’Neil.
