Find peace of mind at the SMU Labyrinth Courtyard Gardens

If internships and heavy course loads have left you feeling burnt out or uninspired, pay a visit to SMU’s Habito Labyrinth.

The labyrinth is not the maze of hedges you’ve read about in fantasy novels. It’s a stone pathway placed in the Frost Marcus Labyrinth Courtyard Gardens between Prothro and Selecman Halls.

The path of the labyrinth is about one-third of a mile long and takes a person walking a moderate pace about 20 minutes to complete. It was built with the intention of giving the ‘pilgrim’ time to pray, calm their nerves and reflect.

There’s no need to worry if prayer isn’t your thing, though. The labyrinth is open to all and is a great way to de-stress and find some peace of mind.
