SMU football’s bowl destination has been announced. The Mustangs will play Louisiana Tech in the DXL Frisco Bowl Dec. 20.

The game will be the final SMU contest for several players. Defensive end Justin Lawler and center Evan Brown are both seniors, and junior wide receiver Courtland Sutton will likely leave for the NFL after the season.

Louisiana Tech, a member of the Conference USA, finished its regular season 6-6.

This is the inaugural game for the Frisco Bowl, as it was moved from Miami for the 2017 season.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
