Three-on-Three: SMU vs Tulane

Three Mustangs

  1. Ryan Manuel- Has emerged as a regular starter and in 2015 has really attacked the basket more. He has now scored in double figure five times this season. However, his biggest contribution to the team comes from his efforts on the defensive end as he is usually matched up with the opponents most offensively skilled guard.
  2. Ben Moore- Moore has had an up and down year. He has embraced his starting role with fervor and has shined at times. Occasionally though, he gets into his own head and shrinks a bit. He is averaging 8.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists & 1.2 blocks, but has scored in double figure ten times.
  3. Markus Kennedy- Once he became eligible, it took him a while to get going, but since he got back into the flow he has been rock solid. Kennedy is averaging 10.3 points & 5.0 rebounds in 19.6 minutes. Unlike last year, this season he is coming off the bench and coach Larry Brown says that is Kennedy’s choice. Its a good thing too, because those 10.3 points off the bench are huge.

Three Green Waves (?)

  1. Lousi Dabney- Tulane has a three out standing guards. Dabney is the most dangerous of the three and is an absolute headache to guard. The junior is averaging 14 points a game for Tulane and is shooting an incredible 43.6 percent from three-point range and 43.1 percent from the floor- kid is ridiculous.
  2. Johnathan Stark- While Dabney may be the most dangerous, Stark is probably the most complete player. This sophomore is averaging 12.3 points per game and is also the primary facilitator- averaging 4.3 assists a game. Stark is also shooting 42.6 percent from the floor.
  3. Jay Hook- is the senior of the triad and is averaging 11. 7 points and 4.5 rebounds a game. Hook is shooting 39.8 percent from three-point range and is shooting 42.7 percent from the floor to complete the trio of outrageous scoring and shooting efficiency for Tulane.
