Welcome to our weekly news recap where we talk everything Dallas, style and, most importantly, fashion.

1. Man Repeller gets new editorial director

Famed blogger and it girl, Leandra Medine, who has served an editorial director-like role at her site, Man Repeller, for the past six years, is taking a step back and bringing on ex-Racked editor Leslie Price, WWD reports. Price will take the position of editorial director, focusing on the sites famously funny and thought-provoking pieces, while Medine will stay on as CEO and also work as chief creative officer.

2. Rei Kawakubo may be coming to a met gala near you

The fashion industry was awash with rumors Wednesday that Commes Des Garçons visionary Rei Kawakubo may be the subject of next spring’s exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. She would potentially be the second living designer to have a solo exhibit there, only after Yves Saint Laurent in 1983, WWD first reported. While the unconfirmed reports continue to swirl, others are fantasizing about what might be included in such a show.

3. Burkini ban lifts in Nice

It was announced Friday that French courts have ruled to overturn the ban on burkinis, the modest swimwear garment frequently worn by Muslim women, in several seaside towns including Nice and Cannes, The Guardian reported. The Ban has been a controversial topic since taking place after the Bastille Day terrorist attack, which killed 86 people.

4. Elie Tahari debuts fall campaign featuring a woman in the White House

Many a designer is getting involved in this year’s presidential race, especially as fall rolls around. As you might have guessed, the fashion world is backing Hillary Clinton who, let’s be real, has the chicest campaign gear in the game (Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, Joseph Altuzarra, Public School, and more have all created t-shirts for her campaign shop).

Now luxury brand Elie Tahari is joining in with its fall “Madam President” campaign, which features a collection of red, white and blue pieces perfect for power dressing. We’re sure to see more campaigning from the fashion industry as fashion week begins Wednesday. Chelsea Clinton is even said to be hosting a pre-fashion week runway show to raise money for her mother’s campaign, The Cut reported. Anna and friends will of course be in attendance.

5. Barbie is getting a chic new BFF

Blogging queen Chiara Ferragni is getting a taste of the Barbie world (and is the first blogger ever to do so), Who What Wear reported. The founder of The Blonde Salad announced this week on Instagram that Mattel created a doll just for her, and it even comes with her own personal fashion statements (that tiny glitter iPhone case is too cute!) This is when you know you’ve made it.
