Today’s the day! It’s time to bust out all things green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. March 17th is the day on which we commemorate the Irish heritage and culture.

The city of Dallas celebrates with many different events taking place over the next few days. If you’re looking for something fun to do, here are a few great options.

1. The Rustic hosts Pat Green

Tonight, The Rustic is “Going Green” with country singer Pat Green to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day the right way. The sold out show is from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. For more information, visit their website at http://therustic.com/event/stpatgreensday2016/.

2. The Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival

The 37th Anniversary Dallas St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival will be held on Saturday, March 19. It is the largest St. Patrick’s Parade in the Southwest with more than 125,000 people attending. The two mile route will have over 90 floats and more than 1,700 parade participants. The parade route runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and the festival goes from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The parades proceeds benefit the Greenville Avenue Area Business Association (GAABA) Scholarship fund, giving more than $72,500 in scholarship money to Dallas ISD students. For more information, visit their website at http://www.dallasstpatricksparade.com.

3. The St. Paddy’s Day Dash Down Greenville

The 21st annual St. Paddy’s Day Dash Down Greenville is also on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. Join the “sea of green” before the parade for the annual 5k and help make a difference for the North Texas Food Bank. 4. The Dallas Observer and Bud Light Party St. Patrick’s Day Concert

The Dallas Observer is hosting the St. Patrick’s Day Concert on Saturday, March 19 after the parade, featuring Third Eye Blind. The concert is in the Energy Square parking lot at the corner of Greenville Ave and University Blvd and the gates will open at noon.
