The first Pedal to End Cancer event will be held this weekend by The American Cancer Society at SMU.

The event consists of two 30 minute spin classes taught by the instructor, Annie Spivack. ACS@SMU’s says, “It is not about how fast you pedal. It’s the difference you make.” These classes are being held as a fundraiser to raise money for The American Cancer Society which helps fund ACS programs and patient services, as well as cancer research.

“PTEC is a fundraiser leading up to the big event of Relay For Life,” Said Taylor Kramer, a Co-Chair of ACS@SMU, “And reflects the American Cancer Society’s mission of encouraging a healthy active lifestyle to help cut down on lifestyle factors that may increase one’s risk of developing cancer.”

Tickets are $10 for each class and can be purchased at this link.

The event will be held Saturday, February 16th from 10-10:30 a.m. and 10:45-11:15 a.m. at the Dedman Rec Center.
