B-ball fans to receive big pluckin’ deal

Because of a high student attendance this basketball season, theSports Marketing Department wants to give something back.

The department is rewarding the organizations that come tosupport the Mustang basketball teams during the last few home gamesof the season with an event catered by Pluckers Wing Factory.

“Do two things at once. Support your team and possibly wina prize,” Marketing Assistant Whitney Cahoy said.

Any registered campus organization is eligible and invited toparticipate in this competition where the group who has the mostaccumulated points will win the catered event.

Each member of the organization must come to the table right atthe front of Moody Coliseum and get their ticket punched and tellwhich organization they are with. At each game, when members signin at this table, they will receive a voucher for a discount at TheGreen Elephant.

The upcoming games are at 2 p.m. on Saturday when the women takeon No. 6-ranked Louisiana Tech. The other two games are men’sgames at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26 against Boise State and at 7 p.m. onFeb.28 against UTEP.

Coming on Saturday to the women’s game will count doublepoints for an organization.

“The women’s game is such an important game to haveall the fans here and students to cheer us on,” Cahoysaid.

On Feb. 26 all the campus organizations that have had membersattend all three games will be recognized.
