On Sunday at approximately 8:30 p.m. an unknown male attempted to sexually assault a female SMU student walking in the 3100 block of Mockingbird Lane near Ford Stadium.
The student told SMU police that she was able to fight off her attacker.
The suspect has been described as a muscular black male about 6 feet tall in his 20s. He was wearing a red shirt, white or silver shorts that fell below his knees and he was clean shaven. He was last seen running west on Mockingbird Lane.
