Students and mother report aggravated robbery

Three SMU students and one student’s mother reported that they were robbed at gunpoint at 2 a.m. April 17.

The incident occurred at the 2900 block of SMU Boulevard near Boedeker Street and the residential area across from the Bush Presidential Center. According to the report, the victim left by foot to Boedeker.

The suspect was described as a black male with facial hair wearing a black hoodie and gray pants. The suspect was estimated to be around 28 to 30 years in age and about 6 feet tall, and he was described as weighing around 180 to 190 pounds.

The University Park Police Department is currently investigating this case. Anyone who has information on this matter is asked to contact University Park PD at 214-363-3000 or SMU PD at 214-768-3333.
