Conference USA added another accolade to SMU senior guard Bryan Hopkins’s growing list Monday when it named him conference Player of the Week.
This was Hopkins’s first C-USA Player of the Week selection. He was Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week twice last season.
In two overtime wins last week, Hopkins scored 41 points, including seven three-pointers. He also tallied six assists and four steals in the two conference matches against East Carolina and Rice.
Hopkins also recorded another milestone last week, moving into ninth place all-time on the SMU scoring list, with 1,498 career points.
