Homecoming breeds excitement

The Boulevard will be transformed into a mythical pathway of stories while classic literary works come to life for this year’s homecoming — Boulevard Bound: Many Stories, One Tradition.

For this year’s homecoming, Oct. 24-27, the Student Foundation picked well-known stories to assign to the participating organizations.

In addition to traditional homecoming activities like float building, Student Foundation has added three new activities.

SMU has partnered with the North Texas Food Bank to add a “can-struction” competition between the organizations, which will be the community service event.

Each organization will also make its own video promoting SMU Athletics and featuring its homecoming candidate. The top three videos will be presented during the first half of the homecoming game. Residence halls will now have their own competition during homecoming week. With homecoming weekend three weeks away, anticipation is building to see who the next homecoming king and queen will be. Below is a list of each organization’s selected candidate.
