Homecoming parade: one big block party

With homecoming just a few days away, SMU’s Student Foundation is gearing for a grand centennial celebration.

The big event this year will be the parade happening on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Most of the floats will be presented by the Greek organizations.

However, Jack Higgins, the parade coordinator, expects this year’s celebration to include more non-Greek organizations than seen in previous parades.

“It’s just kind of like one big block party,” said Higgins, an SMU sophomore.

Higgins encourages all SMU students to come to the parade. For more information on the Homecoming festivities, visit their website.
