One of the most popular things to do at the start of every semester is join an intramural team. There were more than 2,000 entries in 2013 to play on teams that include flag football, sand volleyball, and soccer. You can join a team as an individual or group and there are co-ed teams, women’s teams, and men’s teams.

The outdoor soccer season starts this week, and for the team of Beta Theta Pi and Tri Delta, excitement is brewing on the pitch.

“I like getting to play soccer,” team member Neal Hiddink said. “I’ve played it all my life, and it’s fun getting to play with a team here”.

Intramurals have several groups to play in, such as Greek, Open, and Residence Halls.

Although registration has closed for soccer, students can plan ahead for the flag football and volleyball seasons that start next month. For more information, visit the intramural website.
