Polls are closing and results are coming in. The Democratic and Republican parties are fighting to the end for the House as strong projections are being made.

The Democratic party is projected to hold many seats in the House. Democrats hold their seat in New Jersey winning by just over 55 percent as they re-elect Bob Menendez. Dem. Laura Kelly is projected to win in Kansas over Rep. Kris Kobach, who was endorsed by President Trump back in August. Incumbent Kirsten Gillibrand takes over New York. In Virginia, Kaine is the projected winner against Stewart by an estimated 500,000 votes. Pennsylvania reports 78 percent of their their votes are in as Bob Casey wins third Senate term.

As for the Republican party, there is history being made as Tennessee is projected to elect their first woman senator. Rep. Marsha Blackburn leads over Dem. Phil Bredesen. Indiana is one of few states with major projections showing a flip in their seat. The state would elect Republican Mike Braun as Senator against Joe Donnelly. North Dakota results Rep. Kevin Cramer as Senator out beating Dem. Heidi Heitkamp.

Election results are continuing to come in, and the Daily Campus will keep you updated.
