On Feb. 21, SMU announced the acceptance of a $5 million gift from Ray L. and Nancy Ann Hunter Hunt to create a new legal center at the Dedman School of Law.

The Hunt’s gift will create the Judge Elmo B. Hunter Legal Center, which is named after Nancy Ann Hunter Hunt’s late father.

The center will provide services for victims of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and other crimes against women.
